In the Philippines, there are only a handful of cutflower suppliers who can truly boast of providing quality blooms and accessories for its clients. One of them is First Bloom Orchids, Inc. (First Bloom), a Laguna-based cutflower company that started business in 1994.

The company serves as the marketing arm of Ramega Farms, and is one of the top providers of quality fresh flowers in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. First Bloom also exports cutflowers to the Asia Pacific Region after perfecting flower packaging techniques practiced in Japan. With these achievements, the company`s customers are assured of first-rate materials that meet international standards.

Our Seven-Hectare Flower Haven

First Bloom flowers are cultivated and grown in a seven-hectare flower haven at Barrio Palo-Alto in Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna,  which is 55Km. south of Metro Manila. Aside from Dendrobium and Vandaceous Orchids, the company also offers premium quality materials directly sourced from Hawaii and Malaysia.

Extensive Assortment of Ornamental Plants and Orchids

First Bloom’s wide array of plants and orchids enables the company to provide for different customer requirements. Other than cutflowers, the company also carries other high-value ornamental plants such as Champagne Palm-seeds as well as different kinds of orchids, such as Anthurium, Mokaras, Ornamental and Foliage.

In 1996, First Bloom became an active member of the influential Philippine Orchid Society. During that year, the company started selling potted orchids such as Cattleya Alliance, Vandaceous and Intergenerics– Phaleanopsis and Dendrobium hybrids at its regular biennial orchid shows.

Two years after, the company started importing Foxtail Palm-seeds from Australia to complement its ornamental plant production. Other foliage plants were also propagated to supplement the marketing of cutflowers.

Anthurium From World’s Top Experts

Not content on resting on its laurels, First Bloom began to include other kinds of cutflower varieties into its fold. With this development, the company tapped Anthura-one of the world’s top Anthurium experts and suppliers-for the acquisition of Holland-type floral Anthurium stocks. At present, First Bloom orchids currently offer three varieties of Anthurium: Pierroe (white), Tropical (red) and Sonata (pink).
